Summary

When trying to edit a published data source on Tableau Cloud using the OneDrive and SharePoint connector, you may get a missing password error and/or be thrown into an authentication loop, even if credentials were embedded previously.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Tableau Cloud.
  2. Go to My Account Settings.
  3. Add your saved credentials for OneDrive and SharePoint Online.
  4. Launch Tableau Desktop.
  5. Use the OneDrive and SharePoint Online connector.
  6. Select any data source.
  7. Create an extract.
  8. Publish the extract to Tableau Cloud and embed the credentials using your OAuth credential.
  9. Go to the data source on Tableau Cloud.
  10. Click on Edit Data Source.


Workaround

There isn't a workaround for this issue yet.
